Contextual Reports
Contextual report shortcut buttons are provided in several places: Completed Activations, Work Orders and Dispatch Jobs. These report buttons allow you to run a quick report on a single record. You can configure which reports to use for the shortcut buttons.
Configure Contextual Reports
Only certain types of reports can be setup as contextual reports. The following list shows valid report types for each context:
Context | Valid Report Types |
---|---|
Completed Activation | Activation Report Attend UL Report (UL module is required) Attend ULC Report (ULC module is required) Incident Report Incident X Report GraphQL Report |
Work Order | Work Order Report Work Order Extended Report Work Order With Charges Report GraphQL Report |
Dispatch Job | GraphQL Report |
Open Reports > Settings > Report Names and select the report you want to configure as a contextual report. It must be one of the report types listed above. In the Enable For Quick-Run Report section, enable the options for the context you want this report be available. The options may vary for different report types. You can enable multiple options if there are several options available, such as for a GraphQL Report.
Run Contextual Reports
When you run a contextual report from the shortcut button, if there are multiple reports enabled for this context, Patriot will pop up a list of available reports. You need to choose the one you want to run. If there is only one report enabled for this context, Patriot will use this report and skip the report selection step.
You can then select the output format and run the report.
A contextual report can not be saved as a preset report, as it is a report on a specific single record.
