Alarm Sounds
Patriot can play sounds to notify operators of key activity. This can improve alarm response time when operators are multi-tasking, or not actively using Patriot.
Available Sounds
- New Alarms - Played while any new / unowned alarms are present. Different alarms can have different sounds associated.
- Alarm Reminder - Played while the current operator has any pending owned alarms
Enabling Alarm Sounds
Alarm sounds can be enabled / disabled for each workstation individually. In a monitoring centre, typically only a single workstation would have sounds enabled, to avoid overlapping / disruptive sounds playing on every station.

Alarm sounds can be enabled via the operator menu
Some browsers may restrict when tabs are allowed to play sounds. To reliably receive alarm sounds, review your browser settings. In Chrome, this is in Site Settings, and in Firefox, it is in Autoplay.
Additionally, ICA will request notification permissions on browsers which support this. A notification will be used as a fallback if sounds are unavailable.
