IRFast Zone Setup
Overview
This guide explains how to setup IRFast zones with action plan overrides.
General Account Configuration
The correct IR Fast template should be selected on the accounts Event Types settings and Zones settings.
The Convert Type should also be set to IRFast in the accounts Event Types tab.
These templates are generic. You will need to define respective zone definitions with appropriate action plan configuration for each signal definition coming from a particular zone. This will need to be done on each account.
I.e. if the panel has the Smoke Detector setup for LCD module on zone 3 then this will need to be defined at the account level in Patriot. This overrides the templates default configuration for that module and zone combination.
Configure the Zones
Continuing the example we can then create a new zone at the client level representing LCD module on zone 3.
Because we know that all alarms come through on 101 for this template (General Alarm is configured at 101 at the event type level ). You'll want to override the General Alarm to use smoke detector at the zone level.
This would mean all signals that come through on event type 101, LCD 1 on zone 3 will be treated as smoke detector signals.
