Adder

Prerequisites

Adder cameras and Patriot use UDP messages to communicate. UDP ports 3328 and 3330 outbound will need to be allowed through any firewalls. In addition UDP port 4000 will need to be allowed inbound and forwarded to the task hosting the Patriot Adder task. Patriot will need to be registered with the Camera Adder module, and be running at least build 060711.

Patriot Task Setup

An Adder task will need to be created to receive incoming alarms and send telemetry messages back to the cameras. To add this, open System->Tasks->Task Settings. Click the insert button and select Adder from the drop-down. On the next screen, enter any relevant details such as host computer, description, port id, and system account. Save this task and it will automatically run.

Patriot Client Setup

Clients should be created using the Adder site URN as the client ID. The Area should be 0001, and the port should match the port id setting from the Adder task.

On the zones tab, select Adder from the camera type drop-down. Add zones which correspond with the zones programmed into the Adder device. For cameras, enable the camera coverage, and enter just the site address or ip into the url field. The http:// is optional. Test the cameras by saving the zone and selecting the camera icon in the zone list, or the camera tab of the client. You should be able to see the live stream for the camera.
