Patriot Patch Release 6.14.4.1

This patch release is an update to Patriot 6.14.4 including various fixes and improvements.

Upgrading to 6.14.4.1 from 6.14.1 or later replaces the ReportCapabilities.json file used by External Reports with an empty file, which removes your allowed report commands. Back up this file before upgrading and restore it afterwards. Future upgrades will preserve this file.

The following improvements are included in this release:

  • Improved the Patriot desktop client built-in browser (used for maps and IP cameras) by moving to Microsoft Edge WebView2. Workstations no longer need the separate Patriot Chrome Installer, and the browser now updates automatically. If the WebView2 runtime is not installed, Patriot displays a message with a download link.
  • Improved operator security groups to require the Delete Client right when Group Delete Clients is assigned, so bulk deleting clients via Advanced Search follows the same permissions as deleting a single client. Read the docs
  • Improved Billing Charges to allow charges without an assigned customer - these are skipped during transaction generation.
  • Improved ICA error handling when a client cannot be found.
  • Fixed the "WebSocket Messaging" task not sending messages to response plan members assigned to the task.
  • Fixed an error when deleting multiple monitored restore reminders.
  • Fixed the restore reminder indicator sometimes not showing.
  • Fixed database deadlocks that could occur when saving work orders.
  • Fixed the External Reports ReportCapabilities.json file being replaced on future upgrades.
  • Fixed the Task Service stopping responding during startup when the Data Service is offline.
  • Fixed the Patriot desktop client freezing when opening Workstation Settings or Operator Preferences while the Windows Telephony (TAPI) service was unresponsive.
  • Fixed the key image and floor plan no longer displaying after a client number was changed.
  • Fixed changing a security group's access type allowing the ICA license limit to be exceeded.
  • Fixed an error when creating an admin security group without Windows client access.
  • Fixed user reports listing duplicate users when a shared base user was also assigned to an area.
  • Fixed Advanced Search reporting success when assigning a client group that does not allow multiple assignments, a validation message is now shown instead.
  • Fixed repeated failed logins with an unknown username logging a "locked out" signal on every attempt when account lockout is enabled.
  • Fixed Receiver Failure signals being logged when sending large email attachments.
  • Fixed pop-up boxes with editable text becoming uneditable after losing window focus.
  • Fixed scrolling list pages (e.g. activations) opening the last selected item when double-clicking the scrollbar.
  • Fixed activations duplicating notes when adding a responder.
  • Fixed the save button disappearing from the patrol creation window when adding six or more patrol jobs.
  • Fixed ICA failing to save when assigning a dealer to a client.
  • Fixed the Tecom WMS action device list appearing empty in the Patriot desktop client.
  • Restored the ability to create clients in ICA without the Client Schedule security right.
